Convenient Scheduling
Successfully manage the competing demands of school and life by only coming on campus once a week (day and night options are available). iHealth@NECC programs combine online courses with just one day a week in the classroom, offering the scheduling flexibility students need to juggle family, work, and personal obligations. A clinical placement may also be required depending on the specific program.
Accelerated Completion
Streamlined offerings allow for the possibility of program completion in as little as 12 months (or less). A faster start to finish timeline equals an earlier start on an exciting new career.
One on One Support
As a student enrolled in an iHealth@NECC program, you will be assigned an onsite career coach, who will provide you with personalized service to help ensure your success.
Online Courses
Online classes allow more time and flexibility to balance a job, family and education, while lowering the commuting cost and time. Students work with a designated career coach/mentor who can assist with the adjustment to the online learning style and help students gain access to support services such as tutoring, and technical support.
Affordable Cost
The tuition and fees for iHealth@NECC programs are as low as $245 per credit. These programs are extremely affordable when compared to other similar health education alternatives. If you do wish to go on to pursue a Bachelor degree, getting your Associate degree at NECC and transferring to a four year college could lower your overall cost. Please mention your desire to transfer to an advisor before registering to assure that your credits are transferable.
Earn a Certificate while getting your Associate Degree
With the Associate Degree in General Studies: Health Specialization, you can earn a certificate to enter the workforce while continuing your path to complete your associate degree. Depending on the specialization chosen, you may be eligible to earn credentials as licensed or certified phlebotomist, EKG technician, dental assistants, medical billers, medical coders, medical laboratory technicians, nurses, sleep technologists, radiologic technologists, respiratory therapists, paramedics (EMT), ophthalmic assistants or medical assistants.
