Are you a healthcare provider with a full schedule who needs to either earn or renew your PALS certification? iHealth@NECC has the answer for you! Earn or renew your Advanced Cardiac Life Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification using our alternative to the customary classroom training. You will complete a self-directed e-learning component prior to reporting to our fully staffed, state-of-the-art simulation laboratory in the iHealth@NECC facility on the Lawrence campus for the practical skills component. Upon successful completion of both parts, you will be awarded your ACLS or PALS card.
This one-credit course uses a problem-oriented, scenario-based educational approach to provide information needed to recognize and prevent cardiopulmonary arrest in children and infants, and to resuscitate and stabilize infants and children who experience respiratory failure, shock, and cardiopulmonary arrests. Upon successful completion of this course, you are eligible for the American Heart Association PALS card.
To enroll in this course you must be a healthcare provider or second-year health professions student with a current Basic Life Support (BLS) card.
Participants are required to have a Criminal Offender Record Information (CORI) and/or Sex Offender Record information (SORI) check. For more information, visit www.necc.mass.edu/cori-sori
